Ecommerce Software

Posted by Primer on March 21, 2009

E-commerce is the name that is used for any business that involves the transfer of goods, knowledge and money over the internet. Ecommerce software is a computer program that works like an online store, allowing you to buy and add goods to a virtual shopping cart like Asp.net shopping cart. You add the products and the software remembers what products you want the software then works out the total cost of your items, including shipping and tax and sends the information to the store owner. When you use this type of software you usually pay by credit card, but some software takes pay pal only payments.

The great thing about ecommerce and shopping software is that the software really does do all the work for you; all that you, as the shop owner, have to do is to remember to package up the goods and send them off to the buyer. This type of software has really simplified the way business is conducted over the internet and makes the shopping experience more real to the buyer because it uses words like shopping basket and check out, just like a traditional store. Every day the internet appears to become more sophisticated

Back- HO!

Posted by Mel on March 17, 2009

I have always had an interest in construction equipment.  It probably started when I was quite small and we were living in a new development where the houses were still being built down the street.  My dad would take me down to watch the workers now and then.  I remember one time where there was a backhoe parked at one of the sites and my dad took me down after work and let me sit up in the cab.  It was a real thrill.

My job now is behind a desk.  I try and rent equipment for any project I have just so I can play.  I think my wife has caught on though.  I thought it would be a good idea to rent a bobcat for a small gardening project we decided to do.  Our back lot is pretty long and the garden area was going to be pretty big.  Anyway, when I showed up with a rented bobcat from Home Depot, she was laughing pretty hard!  Hey, a guy has a right to use heavy equipment once in a while, doesn’t he?
