Wall Fountain for the Office

Are you thinking about adding an indoor or outdoor wall fountain to your place of business? This can be a really great idea since it brings a sense of peacefulness and beauty to the office space and enhances the appeal of the business for customers.

Some things to consider when choosing water wall fountains for the office include:

  • Placement of the fountain. Is this going to go outside in front of your building? If so then you should look at garden wall fountains. If it’s going inside then you want to get something smaller.
  • Design of the fountain. Almost all businesses are best-suited for a simple, modern fountain design. Anything else is just too ornate for an office space. However, you may find that certain offices (such as the offices of luxury interior decorators) could get a fancier wall fountain and pull it off.
  • Cost of the fountain. Before you get a fountain you should make sure that you understand the initial cost as well as the ongoing cost to keep the fountain in operation.

Having taken these few things into consideration, you should be able to select a wall fountain that makes your office a better space for you as well as for your customers.

Easing Fears

Posted by Mel on April 22, 2009

Our babysitter is afraid of our house. We have windows along the entire back side of the home which opens up into the backyard and at night, with no lights behind the house, it can feel very isolating. She had babysat for us several times during the day but on her first evening of work, she shared with us her fear. Her discomforts lead us to change our plans for the night. We didn’t want to leave our children with someone who was scared of the house; it wouldn’t have been fair to her or our kids.

The situations with the babysitter lead us to reevaluate security in and around our home. While we’ve never felt threatened, we did understand how isolated our home is from the rest of our neighborhood, thus giving the feeling of fear. We decided to contact a company specializing in home security in Denver. An agent came to our home and talked to us about implementation of a home security system that would be monitored 24 hours a day. Within in days, we had all the windows and doors linked to the off-site monitoring center which could be contacted at the punch at the keypad. Our babysitter decided to try babysitting for us again and we had a successful evening out after we put her fears to rest with our new alarm system.

Pursuing New Interests

Posted by equiPrime on September 19, 2008

Every six months or so I seem to go through this time of restlessness. Whatever I’ve been doing for the past six months just doesn’t seem that interesting to me anymore but I haven’t quite yet figured out what the new thing is that I want to be doing. I hate the way that this time period feels but at the same time it always makes me a little bit excited because I know that the next new interest I’m going to pursue must be right around the corner.

I love pursuing new interests and they’re always from different industries or fields or parts of the world. One year its cost seg engineering and the idea of net present value. The next year it’s 1920’s history in San Francisco and the people who really made the city what it was.

As you can obviously tell, I know a little bit about a whole lot of different things. I never really pursue any interest long enough to become an “expert” at it but I do a lot of research while I’m interested in something. I’m in one of those in between times right now so I just have to wait and see what catches my fancy yet.
