I agree with outsourcing but I will remind you to be very, very careful. A friend of mine was outsourcing to a document imaging service, who outsourced its own work to a company in India. Sounds like an awesome idea. Except my buddy accidentally left some of his source code and barcode information in a certain group of documents. Of course the reputable domestic company did not do anything with the data... but the Indian one. Another story. Be careful of who you use, who they use and what you send.

More insight...I once went to a hypnotherapist to help me with my insomnia and she pointed out to me a very valuable fact: babies NEVER get insomnia. Translation being that insomnia is all in our heads. I try to keep this in mind when I am up at 3am...

You could just run the lights around the trunks once and string them from trunk to trunk. A big bon fire is the way to go if your outdoors.

I am like you in that I can not really realistically give up driving altogether, but I do like and try to walk everywhere I possibly can and fortunately my city is set up to be pretty walking friendly.

Your dad can benefit not only from a CPAP, but also from dental devices, weight loss, sleeping on his side rather on the back (he can use a sleep apnea pillow) and doing exercises. Playing didgeridoo can also improve snoring and sleep apnea.

I have an elevated deck behind my house and I grill on it all the time on my good old portable grill. When I'm done with it, I wheel it over to an out-of-the way corner where it won't spoil the view.

Having a portable grill on a wooden deck shouldn't be a problem unless the grill is old and leaks sparks or something. You can get a grill cover to keep the dust and pollen and sap off of it.

Thanks for the reminder and the info. I always just hire someone to do it because I'm afraid if I do it myself, I'll just break it.

But I think I can do some myself. Thanks!

Maintenance. Always a good idea. I once made a mistake of not doing it. Not a good story.
